Swami Sivananda at the banks of the Ganga - Photograph of Michael Ball in Yoga Vidya Center Frankfurt

  • Rating: No Rating
Swami Sivananda

This is one of my favorite paintings: "Swami Sivananda at the banks of the Ganga", painted by Michael Ball (an artist from Frankfurt/Germany). Swami Sivananda lived from 1887-1963. He was one of those Yogis who started the renaissance of Yoga and Meditation in the 19th and 20th Century. Swami Sivananda founded the Divine Life Society and the Sivananda Ashram in Rishikesh/Himalaya. He lived at the banks of the Ganga. This painting of Swami Sivananda comes from the Meditation Room in Yoga Vidya Center Frankfurt . See the enlarged Photograph by clicking on it.
