"Home" Movie - Climate Change is Real

  • Rating: No Rating
"Home" is a free 93 minute movie regarding climate change. Film maker, Yann Arthus-Bertrand uses stunning and vivid cinematography to depict the impact of human activity on the planet. The movie struck a cord with me, so I thought I'd share it with you and I hope it resonates with you as well.

Some significant points:

* 20% of the world's population consume 80% of the world's resources
* 1 billion people are going hungry, yet over 50% of grain traded around the world is used for animal feed
* Livestock sector is the single largest anthropogenic user of land
* Grazing occupies 26% of the Earth's terrestrial surface
* The livestock industry generates 18% of the greenhouse gas emissions, a bigger share than that of transport (14%)
* 13 million hectares of forest disappear each year
* 3/4 of fishing grounds are exhausted, depleted or in dangerous decline
* The ice cap is 40% thinner than 40 years ago

If you think we're not in serious trouble, think again. We need to act now to slow down or reverse climate change. What are you gonna do? What do you think are the top 3 critical changes we (as individuals) can do to alleviate or reverse climate change?

Going green isn't trendy, it's critical.

The one, and only thing, you need to do is find a way of living that gives you the greatest Health, Happiness and Fulfillment while it brings your micro-ecosystem (body, mind & Soul) into Balance with the Earth's MACRO-ecosystem. Only ONE was ever developed... more than 5000 years ago. It's called AYURVEDA. Learn more about Ayurveda, the r-Evolution Workshops and Yoga Teacher Training HERE.
