I have been having a good email exchange with a student of mine and
thought that some aspects of it relate very well to the wider Thai Yoga
Massage community...
My Student writes:
I have a question for you -- I'm finding that several of the people I'm
working on tend to get really tight in the sacrum while I'm working on
them... when I put them in plough, they just tighten up and feel pain
in the lower back. Is there anything I can do while they are laying on
their back tha…

Because yoga has gone mainstream, many hotel guests are looking for this offering where they are staying, and it provides another source of revenue for the hotels.

According to a BBC article, prisoners in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh are being freed early if they take up yoga. For every three months practicing yoga the inmates can shorten their jail time by 15 days.
The authorities believe yoga helps to improve the prisoners' self-control and reduce aggression. Approximately 4,000 prisoners across the state are benefiting from the program, and many go on to become yoga instructors.

"Better Past" is a great paradox people are living with.
Most of the people many a times fail to accept what happened in their past. They keep grumbling brooding, resenting or feel guilty or ashamed of what happened in the past.

It is not the past but our response to the past which s…

Good day fellow life enthusiats!
My first blog on the Yoga Community I must talk about my first love: Thai Yoga Massage.
I have been practicing yoga since 1998 and have been wonderfully fortunate enough to have the greatest teacher... His name is Dr. Madan Bali and at 85 he is a shining light of yoga and what it can do for you. He is here in Montreal and one of the first to teach in this beautiful city. I will talk more about him in a future post since there is so much to tell. For now you can…

Many Thai therapists begin their sessions with a prayer to him.
Asian massage therapy is based on energetic principles unlike its western counterparts…
