उत्तर प्रदेश के विन्ध्याचल नामक प्रसिद्द महाशक्ति पीठ में जन्म लेकर, प्रारम्भिक शिक्षा वहीं लेने के बाद,मैंने इलाहाबाद विश्वविद्यालय से संस्कृत में स्नातकोत्तर की उपाधि ली. स्नातक में संस्कृत,दर्शन के साथ अंग्रेजी साहित्य का अध्ययन किया. जब इंटर का छात्र था तब मन में प्रबल इच्छा हुई थी कि विवेकानंद की तरह संन्यासी बनू.किन्तु,वासनाएं शेष थीं तो ऐसा हो न सका.1988 में भारतीय पुलिस सेवा ( Indian Police Service ) के लिए मेरा चयन हुआ .तब से भगवान बुद्ध के महान बिहार की सेवा में व्यस्त हूँ.
