It would be cool to be able to search for members by yoga style and location. I would like to find others in my area. I looked on the map and I saw I was the only person in Latin America. But then I saw the profile of somebody in El Salvador--but his profile hadn't been on the map! So if the map is how you go about looking for people by area, it didn't work well for me :/

Hi Carol,

This unfortunately is a common issue with Ning - the platform that the site is on. According to them, they have put in extra measures to stop them but unfortunately they still occur. The only way to stop them right now is to approve every single message before it gets published, however, this solution defeats the purpose of the site - a self-serve yoga community website. As I get more information from Ning, I will pass it on. I apologize for any inconvenience.

I'm loving this site! Thanks for creating it!

Two ideas:
1- How about a private section of the community for teachers only? I'm mixed about the idea, but thought I'd throw it out there as a possibility. I like the transparency as it is now, but having a private place to talk shop with teachers is good too. I'm on a teacher listserv and sometimes somebody will post something like "holy crap I just got a great corporate yoga lead, but I have no idea what to charge! Help!" For these sorts of sensitive business questions it's good to be talking where just fellow teachers are out there reading.

2- How about a small banner I could put on my webpage in order to send people here and encourage them to join? Maybe like the "Find Me On Facebook" link you see on so many sites.
